軟骨無形成症を有しながら類まれな個性と才能で活躍するグローリーな方々からのインタビューをご提供するシリーズ企画 ”GLORY Person with Achondroplasia”第5弾を、2021年10月31日（日）世界小人症月間の最終日に開催します。今回は、TOKYO2020パラリンピックの閉会式で華麗なドラムを披露した後藤仁美さんをお招きし、オンライン・トークイベント形式でお送りします。
後藤仁美さんは、幼い頃から絵を描くことやドラム、ファッションが大好きで、イラストとデザインの専門学校を卒業しました。洋服のお直しやデザイン関連の仕事を経て、現在は、小さな身体を活かして、ファッションショーや舞台で、モデルや俳優業を主として活躍しています。
本トークイベントでは、そんな後藤仁美さんが経験した、多くの人との出会い、TOKYO2020といった大舞台への挑戦を通じて得られた人間観・世界観の広がりについて語っていただきます。
インタビュアーには、軟骨無形成症のご息女をお持ちで一般社団法人 日本サステナブル・ラベル協会（JSL）代表/日本エシカル推進協議会 副会長の山口真奈美さんをお招きし、当事者ご家族の視点および倫理・透明性の見地から、後藤仁美さんの夢(当たり前の存在になりたい)の核心に迫っていただきます。

＜世界小人症月間/世界小人症の日＞
10月を「小人症意識月間」”Dwarfism Awareness Month“と定め、海外では小人症への理解、彼らの社会参加を実現すべく当月に様々なイベントが開催されます(※1)。中でも10月25日を世界小人症啓発の日”World Dwarfism Awareness Day/Internarial dwarfism Awareness“として社会的平等を訴えたり、周りの友人・知人に向けて小人症を知るきっかけを与えたりするなど人々の意識を高める活動に邁進する動きが見られます（※2） 。日本においても細やかながら皆様や周りの方々に世界の動きをお伝えできれば幸甚です。
GTAでは、2016年10月26日にインターナショナル・ドワーフ・ファッションショーの東京開催を支援して以来、当啓発月間を意識しています。（※3）。

The fifth of the series project ” Glorious Person with Achondroplasia” will be held on the last day of World Dwarf Awareness Month on Sunday, October 31, 2021, providing interviews of Glorious Person who is active in exceptional individuality and talent even with achondroplasia. We will invite Hitomi Goto, who performed a brilliant drum at the closing ceremony of the TOKYO 2020 Paralympics game, and have an online talk event with her.
Hitomi Goto has loved drawing, drums, and fashion since she was a child, and graduated from a vocational school of illustration and design. After working for remodeling of clothes and design, she currently acts as a little model, an actress in fashion shows and stages.
In this talk event, she will talk about how her view of humanity and the world got expanded through the encounters with many people and the challenge to the big stage such as TOKYO 2020 that Hitomi Goto experienced.
Interviewers will be invited by Manami Yamaguchi, representative of the JAPAN SUSTAINABLE LABELS ASSOCIATION (JSL) and vice president of the Japan Ethical Initiative, who has a daughter with achondroplasia, to strike at the heart of Hitomi Goto’s core beliefs dream (being normal) from the perspective of the families concerned and ethics and transparency.

<World Dwarfism Month / World Dwarfism Day>
October is designated as “Dwarfism Awareness Month”, and various events will be held overseas this month to realize an understanding of dwarfism and their social participation (* 1). Among them, October 25th is designated as “World Dwarfism Awareness Day / Internarial dwarfism Awareness” to appeal for social equality and to allow friends and acquaintances to learn about dwarfism. There are movements to push forward with activities to raise people’s awareness (* 2). It would be greatly appreciated if we could convey the movements of the world to everyone and those around us, even in Japan.
On October 26, 2016, the International Dwarf Fashion Show was held in Tokyo. (* 3).
