2022年6月22日（水）（日本時間）、BioMarin Pharmaceutical Japanは、同社のグルーバルリリースに続き、軟骨無形成症治療薬「ボックスゾゴ®皮下注用 0.4mg/0.56mg/1.2mg」（一般名：ボソリチド （遺伝子組換え））について、2022 年 6 月 20 日「骨端線閉鎖を伴わない軟骨無形成症」の効能又は効果で国内製造販売承認を取得したことを発表しました。
On Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022 (JST), BioMarin Pharmaceutical Japan announced, following the company’s global release, the new drug for children with achondroplasia VOXZOGO® for subcutaneous injection (generic name: “vosoritide” (biologic medical products)” have got the manufacturing and marketing approval for “people with achondroplasia without epiphyseal closure” on June 20, 2022.
今回の承認取得について、日本法人の中村圭代表取締役より以下のメッセージが発信されています。 「本邦において、約 25 年ぶりとなる軟骨無形成症に対する新規治療薬であるボックスゾゴ®を提供できることを社員一同大変嬉しく思います。これにより、早期からの軟骨無形成症に対する治療が可能となります。」と述べるとともに、「私たちはこれからも、“一日も早く、一人でも多く”への患者さん、患者さんの事を想う全ての方々へ笑顔をお届けすることを目指します。」と語っています。

Regarding their getting approval, Kei Nakamura, Representative Director Japan, of the Japanese corporation, said “We are all very pleased to be able to provide VOXZOGO®, a new treatment for achondroplasia for the first time in about 25 years in Japan.
